Law Enforcement and Administration

Administration and Law Enforcement are crucial aspects for smooth
functioning of any country. With an experience of 40 years in law
enforcement, Dr. Kiran Bedi’s knowledge and understanding in
administration and law enforcement has been manifest in the
formation of the India Vision Foundation and the Navjyoti India Foundation. This space is dedicated to communicating and sharing this expertise to enthusiasts who are interested in knowing more about the nuances of administration and law and order. Want to have an insightful view of what preventing crime and maintaining the rule of law entails?

Rural Development

Rural societies in India are overtaken by orthodox ideas, illiteracy, lack
of facilities and mismanagement of environmental resources. Our rural development program focuses on strengthening capacities of
communities, to build social capital through collective decision making. This is achieved by adopting an integrated community development approach focusing on gender equality, skills and livelihood, community training and environmental issues.Want to know more about our rural development program?

Education in Urban Slums

Management of urban slums has been a growing challenge in India.
Poor living conditions in such areas marked by widespread illiteracy,
unhygienic conditions and increasing tendency of crime rate and
substance abuse raises the need for active and holistic education in
urban slums. The Navjyoti India Foundation envisions to
impact children and youth in urban slums by providing transformative
education, early leadership and skill training through a holistic
educational program inclusive of the 3S- Shiksha, Sanskar and
Skills.

Prison Program

The motive of any imprisonment is not punitive but to enforce corrective behavior. With the current stigma in society around imprisonment, prisoners and their families often become victims of discrimination and exclusion from society. Often, children become victims of parental incarceration and face discrimination which severely impacts their mental growth and peace. India Vision Foundation has stood for advocating prison reforms and initiating and conducting prison welfare programs with the mission of creating a crime free society and offering reintegration opportunities to released inmates.
